Make plans to join us on Thursday, July 20, for the christening of the Belle of Louisville’s new riverboat, the Mary M. Miller. The christening, which is open to the public, will begin at 6:00 p.m. on the Belle of Louisville Landing, 141 West River Road.
Tickets are available for purchase for a very special Christening Cruise that will follow the ceremony – boarding will begin at 6:30 p.m. and the boat will cruise 7:00-9:00 p.m. Tickets cost $75 and include hors d’oeuvres and cocktails and a special commemorative item. Music will be provided by the Billy Goat Strut Revue from 6-9pm.
The Mary M. Miller is named after the first female riverboat captain, Mary Millicent Miller, who was born in Louisville in 1846. You can read more about her here.
