The Waterfront Development Corporation, which operates Waterfront Park, is one of only 200 non-profits nationwide to receive a bottle of this limited edition Bourbon from Buffalo Trace Distillery. Only 100 bottles of the 1980 vintage were released, along with 50 bottles each of 1982 and 1983. This Bourbon is not available in stores, bars or restaurants.

The collectible vintage-dated Bourbon was described as “exceptionally rare” by the distiller, with a value of $10,000+. The lead-free crystal bottle with detailed fluting is a replica of an OFC decanter dating back to the early 1900s. The bottle is packaged in a wooden case with a revolving door and a copper plaque depicting the year the Bourbon was distilled.

Bidding will start at $2,000 with increments of $50. The winning bidder must be able to pick up the Bourbon at the offices of the Waterfront Development Corporation, 129 River Road, Louisville, KY 40202. Item will be available for pickup beginning on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 10:00am. Auction winner must call ahead to make arrangements for pickup. Happy bidding!
