Big Four® Bridge Special Lighting
The special lighting on the Big Four® Bridge can be customized for your charitable cause or special event. Individuals and organizations have an opportunity to choose their colors to be displayed for an evening or weekend for a fee that goes directly toward Waterfront Park operation and special projects. See the Bridge Lighting Policy/Special Lighting Request for more information, including rates, and to fill out an application.
Docking – Commercial
There is a $200 per day boat fee to dock at the Wharf at Louisville Waterfront Park. Please call Catie Nelson at 502.574.3768 to check availability and to make accommodations for your visit.
Docking – Pleasurecraft
There are two sets of docks in Waterfront Park, the Harbor Docks (by the Great Lawn) and the Amphitheater Docks (by Towhead Island). Docking is free and available on a first-come, first-served basis, though a suggested donation of $50 per day is appreciated to assist us in maintaining the docks. Docks may be closed during large events, so call ahead for information (502.574.3768). Boaters who wish to dock overnight please fill out our online form.
Please note that a portion of the Amphitheater Docks is reserved for seasonal and annual rentals. Please observe signage to be sure not to park in a reserved slip. If you are interested in a seasonal or annual slip rental, please contact Waterfront Park at 502.574.3768.
Apply for this permit if you are interested in photographing or filming in Waterfront Park for commercial purposes. We need at least 14 days to make accommodations for your production. Please see online form for additional information, including rates.
The Waterfront Park vending season is from May 1 through November 15. Vendor sites in the park are limited in order to help the selected vendors become and remain successful. Specific locations for vendors in the park are chosen by the Waterfront Development Corporation. Vendor proposals will typically be reviewed in fall or winter. Those chosen will accept a license agreement that will define the vendor’s location, operating hours, menu, payment for vending license (which is 10% of gross), and require a cell phone. Health Department and Metro permits are also required.
Your proposal letter must include the following:
- Vending Station: Provide a picture of your cart, trailer, or other type of set-up, including signage.
- Operating Hours: Indicate the weekday hours and weekend hours you will be open for business in Waterfront Park
- Menu: Provide a typical list of foods you will sell and the cost you will charge.
