The Liver Live Walk brings together patients with liver disease and their community through family and friends, the medical and corporate community and beyond. There is no registration fee but walkers should form teams and raise funds to support the American Liver Foundation's mission. Raise $100 or more to receive the 2010 Liver Life Walk t-shirt. A walk with a unique perspective by combining Healthy Living, targeting downtown businesses, and support for Waterfront Park. The Friends of the Waterfront River Walk will follow the Mayor’s Mile -1 mile loop in Waterfront Park.
Starting point will be on the South Great Lawn.
We encourage companies to gather as many employees as they can to come out and participate in a healthy lunch time activity with us. Entry fee for the walk is $30 per person and includes a commemorative T-shirt and healthy lunch for all participants who submit their $30 entry fee in by May 3. Individuals are also welcome to participate and may collect donations to support the walker to help obtain the entry fee.
We can only accept cash or check at this time but credit card donations to support Friends of the Waterfront can be made through our web site. We will gladly accept any donations on our web site (www.friendsofthewaterfront.com) for those who can not participate with us during the River Walk 2010.
Money raised by the Friends of the Waterfront River Walk will help support free community events like WFPK Waterfront Wednesday and the Waterfront Independence Festival. Money will also help support free wi in the park, park clean team, and other projects that help promote and encourage the use of Waterfront Park by our community.
Admission: $30 entry fee (includes commemorative T-shirt and a healthy lunch!); additional donations raised by walkers are very much appreciated!

The Larosa Loop is a bike ride, walk, run and wheelchair roll charitable fundraiser held in honor of Dr. Ethel Larosa-Klemens, who lost her battle with a rare form of lung cancer at the young age of 37. This is a fun, non-competitive family and community event.

A series of free walking tours, led by local historian Rick Bell, will explore the history of Louisville’s riverfront and the development of today’s acclaimed Waterfront Park. Beginning at the Belle of Louisville’s landing at the Fourth Street wharf, the 90-minute tours will end at the Lincoln Memorial. Bell will describe the riverfront’s importance to the growth of Louisville from its founding during the American Revolution, through its glory days during the Steamboat Era, to its renaissance as one of the world’s most successful maritime recreational parks.
The tour will start on the wharf in front of the Belle of Louisville and will conclude at the Lincoln Memorial. Free parking is available in the park. A convenient location would be the Green Lot - park and follow the signs to walk to the Belle of Louisville. (see map for locations of the Belle, the Lincoln Memorial, and the Green Lot). The total walking distance from your car, through the tour, and back to your car is approximately 2 miles.
Suggestion: Wear your comfortable walking shoes and bring drinking water and sunscreen.

Louisville’s most popular after work concert series. For the ninth year, the Waterfront Development Corporation and
Louisville Public Media are working together to offer free concerts on the Harbor Lawn featuring national and local artists. There is a cash bar and great upscale festival food. Boat docking is on a first come first served basis.
