2009 concert lineup: Friday, July 3 - Kentucky's own J.D. Shelburne will open the evening, followed by Steve Wariner and headliner Joe Nichols. On Saturday, July 4, hip-hop artist Lyrics Born kicks off the night, followed by acid-jazz band Greyboy Allstars and the finger-poppin' funk of The Ohio Players.
Waterfront Indy Fest is Louisville’s premier July 4th celebration. The two-day festival is the largest eve
nt of the summer and also produced by Waterfront Development Corporation. Over 150,000 people attend the event each year, which features concerts by national recording artists, children’s activities, a festival food & beer garden and fireworks over the Ohio River both nights. The Old School Music Festival will feature music from the "old school" era and will consist of food, beverage & nonfood vendors. Because of the sale of alcohol, this is an "adults only" event and attendees must be 21 & over. Artists to be presented include the Joe Johnson Band, Cherrelle, Angela Winbush, and Phil Perry.

Louisville’s most popular after work concert series. For the seventh year, the Waterfront Development Corporation
and the Louisville Public Media are working together to offer free concerts on the Harbor Lawn featuring national and local artists. There is a cash bar and great upscale festival food. Boat docking is on a first come first served basis. Outside alcohol and glass are not permitted. Lawn chairs and blankets are encouraged.
Musical guests: Josh Ritter, Sam Roberts Band and Young Dubliners.
This month we’ll be collecting backpacks for Blessings in a Backpack. More information is available online at www.blessingsinabackpack.com.

WFPK Waterfront Wednesdays take place the fourth Wednesday of April and the last Wednesday of each month May through September. (Remaining dates: August 26, and September 30.) The Harbor Lawn is located between the boat docks at the Great Lawn and the Children's Play Area. Parking is available along River Road, the Orange Lot, and surrounding pay lots. No outside alcohol, no glass, and please, no pets. Lawn chairs and blankets are welcome and boat docking is available on a first come-first served basis.
