The deadline for bids for a boat slip in the Great Lawn Harbor has been extended to Friday, June 19, 2009.  The Waterfront Development Corporation will auction individual boat permits for use during the Waterfront Independence Festival on July 3-4, 2009. The purpose is to limit the number of boats in the harbor in an attempt to avoid unsafe conditions. A permit will be assigned to a successful bidder based on the amount of bid, size of vessel, and the date bid is received in the Waterfront Development office. Your permit will cover both days of the Waterfront Independence Festival. Boats will not be assigned to a specific slip. The Waterfront Development Corporation reserves the right to reject any and all bids.

Payments will be due Wednesday, June 24.

Send bid along with the following information:
• Your name, address, telephone number, and email address
• The size of your vessel – both overall length and width
• The name of your vessel and registration number (if applicable)
• The dollar amount you bid for use of a slip during Waterfront Independence Festival 2009
